CDARS®, or Certificate of Deposit Account Registry Service®, is the most convenient way to access FDIC insurance on multi-million dollar CD deposits while earning CD-level interest rates, which often compare favorably to Treasuries and money market mutual funds. Best of all, you have the convenience of working directly with just one financial institution.
With CDARS, you are able to access multi-million dollar FDIC insurance on CD investments.
You work directly with bankers you trust at BNC National Bank.
You negotiate one interest rate per maturity on CD investments placed through CDARS. There is no need to negotiate multiple rates per maturity or manually tally disbursements for each CD.
You receive one easy-to-read statement detailing all of your CDARS CD holdings.
You will not be charged annual fees, subscription fees, or transaction fees with CDARS. The rate you see is the rate you get.
Because CDARS deposits are eligible for FDIC protection, you may not need to collateralize your deposits. This can eliminate time-consuming tracking of changing collateral values on a recurring basis.
The ICS®, or Insured Cash Sweep®, service is a smart, convenient way to earn interest and make your large-dollar deposits eligible for multi-million-dollar FDIC insurance.
Your funds are eligible for protection that is backed by the full faith and credit of the federal government. ICS allows you to access FDIC Insurance above $250,000 through one single bank relationship, allowing you to forego the need of managing multiple bank relationships.
The ICS demand option (where funds are placed into demand deposit accounts) offers unlimited program withdrawals. The ICS savings option (where funds are placed into money market deposit accounts) allows up to six program withdrawals per month. Your funds can be placed using either or both ICS options to best match your liquidity needs.
You can earn interest on ICS funds placed into the money market deposit accounts using the savings option.
