BNC Multi-Factor Security Questions:

How To Create A Safe And Effective Security Question And Answer

Several of our BNC customers have had to answer their Multi-Factor Security Questions and many new customers will have this experience in the future.  The idea behind the security questions is to create an even safer online banking experience for our customers.  (I know, you thought it was meant to drive you nuts with even more passwords to remember!!)

Things to Remember:

  1. Keep It Simple ~ Choose easy to answer questions that won’t have too many variations in the way you could answer it.

For example, you could choose to answer “What High School did you attend?”

Remember when answering that you could put Bismarck, Bismarck High School, BHS, or Bismarck Demons.  I think you get the idea.  Too much variation in an answer can cause problems.   So if you won’t remember what you put down choose something easier like “What was your first pet’s name?”  The answer would simply be Buddy.

  1. Write Your Answers Down ~ Some online users want to have more complicated questions and answers and the best way to ensure that you answer them correctly is to simply write down your answers and keep them in a safe place.

  2. Remember BNC Is Here To Help ~ We want your online experience to be as pleasant as possible and that includes the utmost security.  If you are having any problems with the Multi-Factor questions simply call 1-800-BNC-BANK and we will gladly assist you.
