BNC was founded in 1990 in North Dakota by two successful CPAs who were tired of how banks treated their clients. This was the first step in the evolution from a rural banking company to a full-service provider of financial services with locations in three states. In 2001 BNC opened its first bank in Arizona, which has been identified and continues to be one of the fastest growing areas in the country, both in population and job creation.

As BNC matures, the business of banking will continue to be the anchor of its operations, focusing on providing relationship-based financial services to all size business, business owners, their employees and professionals.
